8th Steering Committee Meeting of the Twinning Project
On July 10, Steering Committee of the Twinning project, which is being implemented by the Civil Service Bureau of Georgia and the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, held its 8th meeting remotely. The project team, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and Delegation of the European Union to Georgia participated in the meeting.
The parties summarized achieved results and activities that were carried out during the last three months. The participants also discussed future plans, prospective adjustment of mode of planned activities and accommodation of innovative methods in order to ensure the continuous and steady implementation of the project despite the crisis caused by COVID-19 pandemic.
The EU-funded Twinning project between the Government of the Republic of Lithuania and Civil Service Bureau launched in 2018 and is in support of the implementation of the Civil Service Reform in Georgia. In order to complete commenced activities and ensure achievement of planned results, the parties made a decision about extension of the implementation period of the Twinning project.
The purpose of the project is to strengthen the institutional and human resource capacities of the Civil Service Bureau for effective implementation of the civil service reform in Georgia.
