Training of Public Servants in Leadership Skills
The heads of the respective structural units of the public institutions attended the leadership skills training initiated by the Civil Service Bureau within the framework of the USAID Good Governance in Georgia Program (G3).
The theoretical and practical part of the training covered the following topics: The Nature of Leadership (main definitions); The Main Theories (Leadership and Management); Managerial Functions and Roles as they relate to the Issues of Power and Influence; Delegation of Authority, etc.
The training course was conducted by the international expert, Ms. Myra Shiplett from USAID and the CTC’s trainer, Ms. Tamar Tsirekidze-Vorisek.
The training course was conducted successfully and the participants were awarded with certificates. As part of the program, the Civil Service Bureau will continue organizing training sessions for public servants in February and March, 2012.
